PICOXYSTROBIN + TRICYCLAZOLE SC Bottle
Rice Fungicide

PICOXYSTROBIN 6.78% + TRICYCLAZOLE 20.33% SC

A specialized combination fungicide for rice diseases combining strobilurin and tricyclazole chemistry. It provides comprehensive Blast control with both preventive and curative properties, effective against all stages of blast development from spore germination to penetration.

Target Disease
Leaf & Neck Blast
Mode of Action
Melanin Block + Respiration
Crops
Paddy (Rice), Chilli
Active: Picoxystrobin + Tricyclazole Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic, Curative & Preventive

Product Information

Mode of Action

Picoxystrobin (QoI) inhibits mitochondrial respiration at the Qo site of Complex III, stopping energy production. Tricyclazole (MBI-R) specifically inhibits melanin biosynthesis in the rice blast pathogen. Without melanin, the fungus cannot form a functional appressorium to penetrate the leaf surface. This dual action stops both spore germination and host penetration.

Target Diseases
  • Leaf Blast & Neck Blast (Pyricularia oryzae)
  • Anthracnose
  • Wet Rot
  • Powdery Mildew
Key Benefits

Specifically designed for the Rice Blast complex, protecting the crop from the tillering stage through to panicle formation.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Paddy (Rice) Neck Blast 1000 500 29
Chilli Anthracnose, Wet Rot, Powdery Mildew 1000 500 03
Dosage Note: The recommended dosage is 1000 ml (1 Liter) per hectare. Ensure the correct water volume (500L) for adequate coverage.

Application Instructions

1. Rice Application Timing
Apply at critical growth stages: tillering, booting (panicle initiation), and flowering. Early application is crucial for preventing Neck Blast, which can cause severe yield loss.
2. Method
Apply as a foliar spray. Ensure uniform coverage of the leaves and panicles. Repeat as needed based on disease pressure and weather conditions favoring blast (high humidity, overcast days).

Safety Precautions

Harvest Interval: Strict adherence to PHI is required: 29 days for Rice and 3 days for Chilli.

Resistance Management: Combines Group 11 (Strobilurin) and Group 16.1 (Melanin Biosynthesis Inhibitor). This combination reduces resistance risk compared to using single-site fungicides alone.
